In LCHM it is possible to see 3 permanent exhibitions. Each in its own way reaches both historical researchers, both folk and professional art lovers. In all three exhibitions there are displayed altogether 1694 LCHM stock items, thus providing the availability of the most unique exhibits of collection to society.

Stock collections

Today the museum holds more than 67 000 units, including the base stock of more than 50 300 items.

The museum stock collection items chronologically cover the period from the Neolithic era (the end of the 5th millennium BC) till nowadays. The exception is a unique nature exhibit – a 10 000 year-old aurochs’ skull.

Museum educational programs

Museum offers interactive educational activities for preschool, primary, elementary and secondary school pupils, students, and programs for adult audience. Currently LCHM offers 17 museum educational programs. Many of them are available all year round, while others in a certain month, according to school curriculum or the date of historical Remembrance Day. The length of the program: 40–60 min.

Every month visitors can see new art and thematic exhibitions in LCHM. Many of the events have developed into a tradition – Autumn exhibition, Museum night, Theoretical readings within the framework of Potter Day. The offer is updated annually with new events – Birthday in the Museum, Stop of history moments etc.
